After your account is set up and the software installed it requires no interaction by you or your staff. The usage can be monitored online in a computer by computer analysis of hourly use providing you with the information to make reductions on power usage and save money. Once your account reaches a preset minimum the software automatically debits your credit card and purchases more carbon credit.
How do my company’s computers damage the environment in the first place?
Computers damage the environment in three ways; manufacturing, usage and disposal.
Manufacturing -Primary materials extraction, primary materials processing, component manufacturing, assembly, packaging, distribution.
Usage- Purchase of electricity that emits carbon into the atmosphere through generation

In the average life cycle of 4-5 years, computers create about 1 tonne ( 940kg per year ) of carbon emissions. This is equivalent to 2 small cars being on the road for one year travelling 290km per week.
Will we be forced to reduce and offset our emissions in the future?
